Spare Parts Quality Levels
In many product images, you will see a quality logo that provides you with additional information about the item.
NOS stands for New Old Stock. The term originates from English and describes new original spare parts from old warehouse stock. NOS parts are available only in limited quantities and are often subject to the principle “once they’re gone, they’re gone”, as a discovered remaining stock can only be sold once – these parts are no longer in production.
It may occur that NOS parts are supplied without original packaging, are dusty, or, especially in the case of sheet metal parts, show slight surface rust or minor scratches. NOS parts are always new in the sense that they have never been used.
